What are some good books?

I always get in trouble in school for reading manga so what are some good books that you like? I'm very picky but I really liked the book Gamer Girl my Mari Mancusi. So if there are any books alike that please tell me in the comments :D

    The Mortal Instruments series. The first is called City of Bones and the movie just came out this year.
